Wall Tattoos

I’m a lover of odd things, obscure items or venturing off the beaten path, so when I run across something in my own neighborhood that makes me pause and take a second look… it puts a smile on my face every time.  This time it was a little Wall Tattoo.

Some people call this vandalism, some people call this “tagging” or “graffiti” but in my book it is just plain ART.  I say that because I’ve had my own brush with this kind of different visual work.  Back in the 1990′s I belonged to an underground Artist group called Fabricators das de attachment and if you lived in or around Seattle you know of us through the ball-and-chain we put on the hammering man @ SAM.  Since then I’ve installed fashion pieces in random cities during midnight runs and I’ve even helped drive a get-away car a time or two for like-minded friends.

So whomever you are I applaud you.  Life is full of little moments and visions that make us smile and your sweet little bird Wall Tattoo made my day and reminded me of my own days gone by.  Thanks.
